Mom, Who banished the rains,

Dad, who went for the doctor,
Sister, who tracked the fever,
With your palm on my forehead,

But the warmth of heart
That the rains offered me,
caressing my hair,
embracing my body..

വൈദ്യനെ തേടിയ അച്ഛാ,
പൊള്ളുന്ന നെറ്റിയില്‍
കൈ വെച്ച പെങ്ങളേ,

പനിയല്ല.
മുടിയിഴകളെ തഴുകിയും
മേനിയെ പുണര്‍ന്നും
മഴ നല്കിയ
ഹൃദയത്തിന്‍റെ ചൂടാണ്.

നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കറിയാമോ?
മഴയുടെ മനസ്സൊരു
മരുഭൂമിയും,
ശരീരം ഒരു സമുദ്രവുമാണ്‌
